Don is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft. He started out like a lot of other software engineers with the desire to make video games. While making video games with his friends in high school, he accidentally crashed their game on his friends computer while working on implementing multiplayer. This diverted his path from video games to cyber security.

In college, Don started an internship with the NSA. After graduation, he went straight to working there full time. After earning his Masters Degree he left the government to work at Tactical Network Solutions.

While working on government contracts at Tactical Network Solutions, Don started working on a side project with coworkers that would eventually catch the interest of venture capitalists and land seed funding to launch a new cyber security startup: ReFirm Labs. While seeking series-A funding, ReFirm Labs landed in the acquisition sights of Microsoft. With Microsoft’s acquisition of ReFirm Labs, Don assumed his current role as a Senior Software Engineer.
